Press Release
Taterz for Tots Benefiting
Children’s Memorial Hospital

Agri-Sales, Inc. is a marketer of potatoes and onions throughout the
United States, selling Wisconsin grown potatoes into the Chicago
marketplace for a select few growers. The time came for me to begin
thinking about marketing my own brand of potatoes, one that would be
unique and one that could make a difference. The packaging is unique,
with its pink label and smiling, happy Tater Kidz allover.
It didn’t take long to decide how the sale of our potatoes could make a
difference. When my wife, Carrie Ann Hughes, was 11 years old, she was
diagnosed with Pheochromocytoma, a tumor on the adrenal gland. She spent
2 months at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Not only did she
celebrate her 12th birthday there , she also underwent exploratory
surgery for removal of the benign tumor. The fine doctors at Children’s
saved her life. We decided together that this would be Carrie Ann’s way
of giving back to CMH and it would be through the sale of my new brand
of potatoes, appropriately named, Taterz for Tots. Profits from the sale
of every bag of “ Taterz for Tots” will benefit Children’s Memorial
Hospital in Chicago.

This product will be made available to independent retailers through the
Chicago International Produce Market at 2404 S. Wolcott Ave. “Taterz for
Tots” is available during the Wisconsin Growing Season, September 1
through March 30 at Strube Celery & Vegetable Company and J.L. Gonzalez
Produce.
Independent stores will be able to purchase potatoes under the
“Taterz
for Tots” label at the two aforementioned wholesalers. Consumers will be
able to find the potatoes at retailers such as Caputo Markets and Pete’s
Markets, both Chicago retailers very much interested in helping this
cause.
